Chief of Staff

Paris, FrancePermanentMid-SeniorUp to €78,000 OTE + Benefits

A globally recognised luxury business is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as right hand to the CEO and COO — a role spanning four dimensions: strategic projects, executive support, business operations, and cross-functional coordination.

The Role

Reporting to the COO with a strong dotted line to the CEO, this role is designed for a versatile mid-career operator who wants to be at the centre of how a high-growth international luxury business runs — and who is prepared to flex between strategic work and operational execution day to day. You will lead special projects, own the operating rhythm, and ensure that decisions made at leadership level translate into action across every function. A key liaison between the Paris office and the group's international leadership, this is a role of genuine influence and exceptional visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead special projects on behalf of the CEO and COO: commercial initiatives, operational improvements, market analysis, and growth planning
  • Prepare materials for strategic decisions — business cases, supplier and client analyses, pricing reviews, and financial modelling
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that do not sit naturally with a single function, such as rolling out a new commercial pricing model or redesigning a client onboarding process
  • Represent the CEO or COO in select internal and external meetings when required
  • Build and maintain the internal reporting cadence: weekly ops reviews, monthly business reviews, and KPI dashboards across all functions
  • Run the operating rhythm — ensure leadership meetings happen, agendas are set, decisions are captured, and follow-ups close
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution, ensuring decisions made at leadership level land effectively across all departments
  • Partner with finance on budget tracking and operational variance analysis
  • Manage the principal's calendar, prioritisation, and inbox triage as required
  • Prepare briefing materials for client meetings, board calls, and visits from international leadership
  • Act as primary liaison between the Paris office and international group offices, keeping all sides aligned on priorities, decisions, and operational status
  • Coordinate international leadership visits end-to-end: agenda, meetings, logistics, and follow-ups
  • Surface issues early — identifying what is slipping, broken, or sensitive before it reaches the executive team

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience across strategy, consulting, business operations, or programme management
  • Exposure to luxury, fashion, or consumer product industries is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable building business cases, financial models, and reporting dashboards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — able to produce executive-grade materials in both French and English
  • Highly organised, discreet, low-ego, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Genuinely versatile: equally at ease running a strategic project, building a dashboard, or coordinating a CEO visit
  • Fluent French and fluent English are both mandatory — the role bridges Paris and international offices daily
