The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Packaging Designer with a strong background in industrial design, product development and graphic design. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of creativity and manufacturing — transforming concepts, sketches and 3D models into production-ready packaging solutions for some of the world's most prestigious luxury brands. You will own the technical integrity of each project from initial concept through to final artwork and production files, working closely with creative, engineering and production teams to ensure every design is both visually exceptional and commercially viable.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the full technical development of packaging across primary and secondary formats.
- Transform concepts, sketches and 3D models into precise, production-ready technical drawings and specifications.
- Manage tolerances, material specifications and supplier requirements with rigour and precision.
- Prepare final artwork and production files to the highest standard.
- Work closely with creative, engineering and production teams throughout the development process.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure technical feasibility and quality.
- Ensure all packaging solutions meet the aesthetic and quality expectations of leading luxury brands.
- Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges across materials, construction and manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical processes and standards.
Requirements
- Strong background in industrial design, product development, technical packaging design or a related discipline.
- Experience working on luxury packaging, cosmetics, fragrance, beauty or premium consumer goods.
- Excellent technical drawing and CAD skills; proficiency in software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD or similar.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, finishes, construction methods and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign, for artwork and print production.
- Rigorous, methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage tolerances and technical specifications to a high standard.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously in an international environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with creative and technical teams.
- A genuine appreciation for luxury aesthetics and an understanding of luxury brand standards.
- French and English language skills would be advantageous.
